Ten years ago, I started my first company with two friends. We thought we were “lean.” We weren’t.
We raised €1M, built hardware and software from scratch, and spent plenty without market validation. Fortunately, it worked out really well.
Last year, I stepped away from that start-up baby to focus on my real baby, my son. After a break, I began exploring new ideas again. Smaller scale, less pressure. Family first.
And in 2025, what else would you focus on but AI? I won’t explain why — it would be like explaining in the 1990s why the internet matters.
That led me from writing about AI First on LinkedIn to building workflows with n8n to exploring the Micro SaaS movement. Along the way I also started a YouTube channel, not with me on camera but with an AI avatar.
I almost repeated my old mistakes. Spent time on a website, a “corporate identity,” and the perfect LinkedIn headshot. None of that mattered.
What matters: failing fast and failing forward. Build, test, ship, repeat. I heard about someone who launched 25 apps in a year. Two stuck and now provide a great living. That’s the mindset I want to master.
So what’s this page about? Honestly, nothing. I just didn’t want to throw away the URL (aifirst.ventures). Thought I’d park some reflections here.
